You could help make London the smartest city in the world
We’ve all got our smartphones, smart TVs and smart homes, but wouldn’t it be cool if we also had a smart city? A London where all the transport, public services and businesses worked in harmony, connected seamlessly to our individual needs and each other’s, making life work better for everyone?
Well, dream no more, because the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan and his recently appointed Chief Digital Officer, Theo Blackwell, are on a mission to make London the smartest city in the world, as part of the Smart London Plan. And they need your help!
The first step, just announced, is a Listening Exercise, giving London’s tech community the opportunity to put forward their thoughts, views and ideas on how data and digital technology can be used to meet the Smart London vision. They want to hear from experts from all walks of life, including businesses, public servants, academia, civil society and practitioners.
So, if you think you can help, then have a read of this discussion paper for more details on the Smart London vision, and then submit your views via firstname.lastname@example.org, or tweet @LDN-CDO with the hashtag #smartlondon.
