Entertainment releases: focus on self-improvement in 2023
The festive season is upon us, and we’re sure many of our members are excited to kick back and catch up on some well-deserved rest.
Of course, many managers and business owners will also be using the time off to think about their vision for the next twelve months. The holidays provide the perfect opportunity to slow down, take stock and consider what you’d like to achieve in the new year — from simple resolutions to long-term business plans.
That’s why we’ve compiled a selection of our top entertainment recommendations to help put you in the right mindset to start 2023 as you mean to go on. Whether you like to curl up with a good book, walk with a podcast or watch a film with friends, keep reading to find out what you should look out for in the coming months…
Film | Coming in January
You may recognise this memorable title. Originally a book (with a very orange cover that you may have seen on a shelf somewhere before), this self-help phenomenon has been turned into a film.
The author himself, Mark Manson, stars in this quirky adaptation of his bestselling book to outline his unique philosophy on life in the form of a cinematic documentary. With the help of the ‘Disappointment Panda’, a character from the original book, Mark details how his experiences have shaped his perspective and ultimately made him a better, more grounded person.
If you’ve read the book already, you’ll know that this is likely to be a refreshing crash course on embracing adversity and harsh truths — something we could all benefit from as we face new hurdles in our personal and professional lives.
The UK cinema release date for ‘The Subtle Art of Not Giving a #@%!’ is yet to be announced, but it should be available to stream on-demand from 9 January 2023.
Podcast | Weekly episodes
We’re cheating a bit with this one, as it’s not a new release. However, with episodes published weekly, there’ll be plenty of fresh content to look out for over the coming months.

Book | 7 March 2023

Financial Feminist: Overcome the Patriarchy’s Bullsh*t to Master Your Money and Build a Life You Love
Book | 27 December 2022
Do you find that your financial education lags behind where it should be? You’re not alone — especially if you’re a woman.
Tori Dunlap realised long ago that girls are significantly less likely to receive a holistic financial education, taught to exercise restraint rather than pursue money. So, to close this gap in knowledge (and wealth), she’s written a book designed to empower women to see money as something that provides freedom — when managed properly, of course.
With journaling prompts, in-depth descriptions of some of the more complex aspects of the financial world and interviews with experts, this is a fantastic tool for anyone who’d like to improve their financial awareness and make their money go further.
And as an extra treat, it’s available just before the new year! Order a copy today to start 2023 with some new skills under your belt.
